Storylineonline is an awesome site for reading. Celebrities read books as if they were grandparents or family members of children. Listening and viewing this site will help children develop reading habits and just make them love books. It offers guidelines for many activities you can utilize, including retelling, personalization, prediction, writing, etc. You can lay back on the couch and enjoy the storytelling.
Level: Intermediate – Low advanced (Elementary school)
When I was young, I used to read picture books listening to audiotapes which read the same books. It seems, this website is a similar version. I think, this type of storytelling through both visual and aural ways at once is great for every kids whether they have a literacy or not. I think this site will also be engaging for kids who like playing with computers to become interested in reading or kids who only like watching videos.
